Core Values

Our core values reinforce what is uniquely important to the culture of Lifepoint Church. They guide the design and climate of each ministry carried out by the church.

1. the pervading tone or mood of a place or situation
synonyms:    ambience, air, mood, feel, feeling, character, tone, tenor, aura, quality, undercurrent, flavor; informal vibe

We believe the good news of Jesus Christ is for all people. Therefore, when we gather together we are mindful to create a welcoming and anticipatory environment intended to draw all kinds of people, regardless of background or social status, to worship the one true God. Our goals are to remove any barriers to hearing the gospel’s relevance to our lives and to be a place where we feel unrestrained in dealing with our human struggles in a biblical way.

1. the way in which two or more concepts, objects, or people are connected, or the state of being connected.
synonyms: connection, relation, association, link, correlation, correspondence, parallel, alliance, bond, interrelation, interconnection

We believe part of God’s divine nature is revealed in scripture as relationship between the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. God gives the gift of participating in His divine nature through developing personal, intimate relationships with God Himself and within His church. Developing these relationships requires time, intentionality and adherence to the principles of relationship laid out in God’s Word. We recognize God designed His church for the purpose of revealing Himself to the world and as a powerful tool of transformation as we live out our lives in relationship with other Christians. Our goal is for the people of Lifepoint to love God and love people with all their heart, mind and strength.

1. the quality of being authentic; relating to or denoting an emotionally appropriate, significant, purposeful, and responsible mode of human life.
synonyms: genuineness, bona fide; legitimacy, legality, validity, reliability, depend- ability, trustworthiness, credibility, accuracy, truth, veracity, fidelity

We believe Jesus is who He says He is and is therefore the perfect model of authenticity. We desire to follow His example and become a people whose words, thoughts and actions singularly and truthfully express God’s activity in our lives especially in the midst of our human failings. We have confidence God Himself, by His Spirit of grace, completes our imperfect witness of our perfect God.

1. the process of increasing in physical size.
2. the process of developing or maturing physically, mentally, or spiritually.
3. the process of increasing in amount, value, or importance.

antonyms: withering, failure, decline, decrease

We believe growth is indicative of life, and God expects growth in His people and His church. We cultivate individual and congregational growth by laboring for progressively deeper intimacy with God and others, continual life transformation, steady numerical increase, and expanding influence in our community. We pursue growth so that Lifepoint Church will be alive for generations to come and as a way to witness to the world that God alone is the sustainer of all life and activity within the church.

1. the action of one object coming forcibly into contact with another.
